Nike Jordan Crater University Red Release Date & Review
The transition to sustainability is evident these days in all aspects of life. The new Jordan Crater is proof that the transition is being adapted in one of the largest shoe brands in the world. At least 20% of the material used to make the shoes are recycled. The fabrics are engineered in such a way that there would be less use of adhesive. The outer sole is 13% old Nike Grind rubber subject to reprocessing to be used again. The upper portion of the shoe that seems like canvas at first sight is actually entirely recycled polyester. The foam is also partially made out of reused ZoomX foam for the cushioning.
The Jordan Crater is a modern tribute to the NBA legend that gave life to the popular shoe line. The classic black hinted with red gives an effortless charm to the footwear whilst still bearing its origin story in some way. The forefront provides a lighter contrast that almost looks like a darkened gray or faded black, as opposed to the solid black straps. It isn’t boring to look at as well because of the red Jordan embroidered logo. All in all, the Jordan Crater will keep Michael Jordan’s legacy alive.
